"Overall regular season rank" tie-breakers are used for determining the regular season champion and seedings for the end-of-season tournament. When applying tie-breakers, you must apply the tie-breaker to all teams at once. After applying the tie-breaker to all teams, if all teams are still in a tie, go to the next tie-breaker. If any team drops out of the tie (either by "winning" or "losing" the tie-breaker), go back to the top of the tie-breaker list for the remaining tied teams. See UPA rules website for details.
For overall regular season rank:
- Winning percentage for the season.
- Head-to-head won-loss percentage among tied teams (all must have played each other at least once).
- Record versus common opponents. (Opponents must be in common with all tied teams)
- Strength of schedule (see definition below).
- Point differential among tied teams (all must have played each other at least once).
- Total point differential.
- Average of opponents' strength of schedule.
- Disc flip.
Strength of Schedule
The strength of schedule of a team is determined by averaging all of their opponents adjusted winning percentages. The adjusted winning percentage of an opponent is the winning percentage of the opponent less any games played against the original team.
